This Cookie Policy explains how Monnele ("Monnele," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies when you visit monnele.com or use our online services (collectively, the "Services").
These technologies help us operate and secure our store, remember your choices, understand website performance, measure marketing, and—where permitted—personalize content and advertising.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information and describes privacy rights that may be available to United States residents.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. They allow a website or service provider to recognize a browser or device, remember information about a visit, and support website functionality.
We may also use technologies that function similarly to cookies, including:
- Pixels and web beacons, which can record that a webpage, email, or advertisement was viewed or interacted with;
- Tags and scripts, which support analytics, advertising, personalization, and website functionality;
- Local storage, which stores certain information directly in a browser or device; and
- Device and online identifiers, which help distinguish browsers, devices, sessions, and advertising interactions.
Cookies and similar technologies do not necessarily identify you by name, but the information they collect may be considered personal information under certain United States privacy laws, especially when connected with another identifier or customer record.
2. WHY WE USE THESE TECHNOLOGIES
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- operate the website and provide requested features;
- maintain website, account, checkout, and payment security;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity;
- remember cart contents, login status, country, currency, language, and other preferences;
- understand how visitors navigate and use the Services;
- identify technical problems and improve website performance;
- measure traffic, engagement, purchases, and campaign attribution;
- personalize website content and product recommendations; and
- deliver, limit, measure, and improve advertising where permitted by law.
3. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These technologies are required to operate the store and provide services you request. They may support the shopping cart, checkout, payment processing, account login, network management, security, fraud prevention, privacy preferences, and load balancing.
Because these technologies are necessary for the Services to function, they generally cannot be disabled through our preference tool. You may be able to block them through your browser, but doing so may prevent parts of the store from working correctly.
Functional and Personalization Cookies
These technologies remember choices such as language, country, currency, recently viewed products, and other settings. They may also help us personalize content and make the Services more convenient.
Analytics and Performance Cookies
These technologies help us understand website traffic and performance. They may collect information about pages viewed, products viewed, time spent, scrolling, clicks, cart activity, checkout activity, referring websites, device type, browser, approximate location, and technical errors.
We use this information to evaluate performance, improve the shopping experience, understand customer journeys, and measure business and marketing results.
Advertising and Targeting Cookies
These technologies may be used to measure advertising, limit repeated advertisements, build or use audiences, understand whether an advertisement led to a visit or purchase, and display advertisements based on activity across websites, apps, merchants, or services.
Depending on the technology and applicable state law, the disclosure of identifiers, device information, internet activity, commercial information, approximate location, or inferred interests to advertising and analytics providers may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or the processing of personal information for "targeted advertising," even when no money is exchanged.
4. INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH THESE TECHNOLOGIES
Depending on your activity, device, settings, and the technology involved, collected information may include:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- cookie, browser, device, advertising, and session identifiers;
- browser type, operating system, device type, and language settings;
- referring and exit pages or URLs;
- pages, products, collections, and content viewed;
- searches, clicks, scrolling, selections, and time spent;
- cart additions, checkout activity, purchases, returns, and order-related events;
- advertisement views, clicks, campaign information, and attribution data;
- website performance, diagnostic, and error information; and
- inferences about interests, preferences, or likely shopping behavior.
5. FIRST-PARTY AND THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES
First-party technologies are set by Monnele or through our Shopify storefront and are generally used to operate and understand our Services.
Third-party technologies are provided by other companies that support ecommerce, security, analytics, advertising, social media, payment processing, customer service, or other functions. These companies may receive information from the technologies they provide and may process it under their own privacy policies.
Providers currently used or integrated with our store may include:
- Shopify, for ecommerce hosting, cart and checkout functions, security, fraud prevention, analytics, personalization, and related services;
- Google and YouTube, including Google Analytics and advertising-related services, for analytics, campaign measurement, attribution, and advertising; and
- Meta, including Facebook and Instagram services, for campaign measurement, attribution, audience-related functions, and advertising.
We may add, remove, or change service providers as our business and technology change. Installed applications may also use pixels or similar technologies according to their permissions and privacy configurations.
You can learn more about these providers through their privacy information:
Monnele does not control how an independent third party processes information outside the scope of services it provides to us. Review the applicable provider's privacy policy for more information.
6. SHOPIFY AND SHOPIFY NETWORK INTELLIGENCE
Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify uses cookies and similar technologies to provide ecommerce, security, fraud-prevention, analytics, store-performance, personalization, and advertising-related services.
When Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled, Shopify may process information about interactions with Monnele, other Shopify merchants, and Shopify to provide enhanced services. Certain uses may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some United States state privacy laws.
You can learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and exercise certain choices through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
7. YOUR COOKIE AND PRIVACY CHOICES
Cookie Preferences
Where our cookie banner or preference tool is available, you can use it to accept, reject, or manage categories of non-essential cookies and similar technologies. You may change your selections later by choosing Cookie Preferences on our website.
Strictly necessary technologies may remain active because they are required to provide requested functionality, maintain security, or remember your privacy selections.
Your Privacy Choices
Monnele does not sell personal information for money. However, certain advertising, analytics, and Shopify enhanced services may involve disclosures that qualify as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under some state privacy laws.
Where applicable, you may opt out by selecting Your Privacy Choices or Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information in our website footer, using our data-sharing opt-out page, enabling a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, or emailing support@monnele.com.
Global Privacy Control
Where required by applicable law and supported by our configured privacy tools, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for the browser or device sending the signal.
If you use a different browser or device, clear your cookies, or are not logged in, you may need to renew certain selections so they can be applied to that browser or device.
Browser and Device Controls
Most browsers allow you to:
- view or delete existing cookies;
- block all cookies or selected types of cookies;
- receive a warning before cookies are stored; and
- change privacy and tracking settings.
Browser controls vary, so review the help or settings menu for your browser. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect your cart, checkout, saved preferences, login, and other website features.
Deleting cookies or using browser blocking settings does not always communicate a legal request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Where applicable, use Your Privacy Choices or a recognized GPC signal for that purpose.
8. DO NOT TRACK
Some browsers offer a legacy "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no uniform industry standard for interpreting those signals, our Services may not respond to them. We recognize qualifying opt-out preference signals, such as GPC, where required by applicable law and supported by our configured privacy tools.
9. HOW LONG COOKIES REMAIN ON YOUR DEVICE
Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them.
The duration of a particular cookie depends on its purpose, the provider's configuration, and applicable legal or operational requirements. Providers may update cookie names and retention periods as their services change. Our cookie preference tool, browser storage controls, and the relevant provider's documentation may provide additional current information.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 in a manner prohibited by law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@monnele.com.
11. UPDATES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in applicable law, our business practices, our Services, the technologies we use, or our service providers. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
